MOBILITY Credit Union awards two graduating high school students its 5th Annual Judy W Kelley Scholarship worth $2,000. The 2014 recipients are Rachel Rhodes of Sachse High School in Sachse, Texas and Claire Martin of John H. Guyer High School in Denton, Texas.

MOBILITY CU created the scholarship to give back to deserving credit union members, their children, and their grandchildren who were pursuing continuing education at a four-year college, community college or state-licensed technical school. The scholarship program was developed in honor of Judy W Kelley, MOBILITY CU’s former CEO who retired in 2010 after 41 years of service. Kelley valued education and community service.

Mark O’Bryan, MOBILITY CU president and CEO, sees the value in continuing the tradition. "MOBILITY Credit Union is invested in the future of its members. The scholarship shows them that we’re here for them at any life stage – college, marriage, children – no matter where they are," he said.

The two recipients were excited about being selected. Rhodes is a third-generation MOBILITY CU member who plans to study pediatric dentistry beginning at Austin Community College and then transferring to the University of Texas. Martin, one of five children and whose father has been a MOBILITY CU member for 20 years, looks forward to studying nursing at North Central Texas College.
