Irving, Texas (June 7, 2016) – MOBILITY Credit Union awards two graduating high school students its 7th Annual Judy W Kelley Scholarship worth $1,000. The 2016 recipients are Elizabeth Cook of Coppell High School in Coppell, Texas and Danyal Ali of L.D. Bell High School in Hurst, Texas.

MOBILITY CU created the scholarship to give back to deserving credit union members, their children, and their grandchildren who were pursuing continuing education at a four-year college, community college or state-licensed technical school. The scholarship program was developed in honor of Judy W Kelley, MOBILITY CU’s former CEO who retired in 2010 after 41 years of service. Her legacy continues by recognizing the importance of higher education and fulfilling one of her most sincere passions - working with students.

Mark O’Bryan, MOBILITY CU president and CEO, sees the value in continuing the tradition. “We have a responsibility to invest in our students because they are the key to our future. The Judy W Kelley Scholarship was started to ensure that students who have the grades and will, but might not have the financial means necessary, can still get the education they desire.” O'Bryan said.

The two recipients were grateful to be recognized for their academic excellence. Cook will attend Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL to obtain her degree in Political Science. Ali plans to study Business at University of Texas at Austin in hopes of becoming an Entrepreneur.
