(IRVING, TEXAS)— On March 5, Keep Irving Beautiful (KIB) welcomed 12 Verizon employee volunteers to T.W. Richardson Grove Park, 333 E. Interstate 635, for a service project.  After receiving safety instructions and supplies, the group conducted a cleanup of the park.  Working in groups of two or more, they spread out along the Campion Trail, throughout the park and in the tree line near the Elm Fork of the Trinity River.  The team collected 54 pounds of litter and 17 pounds of recyclable materials.

“KIB has enjoyed our relationship with Verizon for many years, and they have made a positive impact throughout the city,” said KIB board member Karen Harmon.  “Irving is fortunate to have a thriving corporate community with companies like Verizon that put a high value on giving back to the community.  The Verizon volunteers did a great job at the cleanup and performed the important task of keeping litter from reaching the river.  We look forward to partnering with them again.”
