Keep Irving Beautiful (KIB) joined forces with Irving’s Parker University Wellness Clinic interns for a beautification project at Senter Park Recreation Center on December 6.  The five chiropractic interns volunteered 15 service hours in giving a fresh coat of paint to the interior of Irving’s first recreation center.  The Parks and Recreation Department provided supplies and guidance for the project, one of many that KIB volunteers have completed at Senter Park over the years, indoors and out.

KIB Board Member Scott Wilson said, “Through our Higher Education Outreach Program, we have the opportunity to collaborate with several different groups for volunteer projects.  Our city is fortunate to be home to a variety of educational institutions, including the Irving location of the Parker University Clinic.  We have worked with Parker students several times, most recently at our 25th Annual Trash Bash, where they were among the 623 volunteers who participated.  They have also volunteered at the “Don’t mess with Texas Trash-Off” and at other organizations’ events, like the Susan B. Komen 3-Day.  It’s great to see that even with their busy schedules, students care enough to spend their personal time in giving back to the community.”
