A special community-wide “Boo Bash” event took place at Ability Connection’s new campus in Irving,  along with its partner, It’s A Sensory World! The event was Saturday, October 28th.  The Halloween celebration took place for over 100 children and their families in a sensory-friendly environment, including a trunk-or-treat, bounce house and fun for the entire family.

Sensory-friendly trick-or-treat events are important for children with intellectual or developmental disabilities, as they create a more comfortable, inclusive, and accommodating environment, allowing children to enjoy Halloween festivities and build positive memories with their families.

Ability Connection offers sensory-friendly activities to both children and adults all throughout the year (including summer camps, Sensory-friendly Santa and more).  To learn more about Ability Connection and its programs, visit abilityconnection.org.
