Celebration will include live music, a farmer’s market, pumpkin patch and in-store specials at Big Little Market, Water Street’s Neighborhood Pantry and Beverage Bar


Water Street, a pedestrian-friendly mixed-use community with 60,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, green space and views of Lake Carolyn, is celebrating the grand opening of Big Little Market, the neighborhood’s pantry and beverage bar, with a fall farmer’s market. The celebration will take place on Saturday, October 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 5270 N. O’Connor Blvd.

The grand opening will include live music from DFW’s Boxcar Bandits, a group that melds bluegrass, old-time, western swing and country with the sounds of string band instruments to create their signature sound. The celebration will also feature a pumpkin patch with a pumpkin decorating station, potato sack races with prizes, and Water Street’s first Farmer’s Market. Vendors at the Farmer’s Market will include Cita’s Salsa, Pop Star – Frozen Treats, Cultivar Coffee Bar & Roaster, The Tamale Company, SoCo Ginger Beer, Health Bomz, Cassie Green Health, Cookies, Crumbs and Crust, Smokin’ Upstream, Manny’s Cortado, Lilly Point Farms Granola, Round Rock Honey, and more.

Big Little Market will celebrate their grand opening all day and will feature in-store specials.

“A fall farmer’s market is the ideal showcase for the Water Street setting, with its abundant green space and Lake Carolyn overlook,” said Darin Botelho, Vice President, Commercial Real Estate. “Come out and stock up on fall treats, enjoy live music and stick around for lunch or dinner at one of our great restaurants like Olivella’s, Go Fish Poke or El Famoso.”

“We can’t wait to get to know our neighbors,” said Talitha Ledet, Big Little Market owner. “Our store offers traditional groceries and produce, as well as specialty vegan, gluten/dairy-free and organic items; beer, wine and meals to-go, such as specialty deli sandwiches, salads, wraps and heat-and-eat meals; pastries, a coffee bar, breakfast items and gift items.

“The Farmer’s Market also allows us to work toward our mission of supporting local vendors,” added ledet. “And it lets our customers actually meet the creators of their favorite foods face-to-face.”

Water Street offers an impressive variety of pubs, restaurants, neighborhood conveniences and 316 apartment homes on the shores of Lake Carolyn in Las Colinas, all within walking distance of the DART Rail System, Toyota Music Factory and the landmark Mustangs at Las Colinas.

Water Street is located at 5270 N. O’Connor Blvd, just east of State Highway 114. There are currently only four retail spaces available for lease in addition to opportunities for short-term leases. Adjacent is Gables Water Street which offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes available for rent; approximately 60 percent have water views. Amenities at the pet-friendly community include a resort-style pool and deck, two fitness centers and a spin room, a lakeside community lounge, automated package lockers and a business center/WiFi lounge.
