Karen Luschar sings 'Chasing Rainbows--Songs of Judy Garland' at the Irving Arts Center on October 20th, 7:30pm

Karen Luschar brings Judy Garland back to Dallas!  At least she brings Judy's wonderful music back.  This acclaimed BroadwayWorld nominated concert plays for one night only at the Irving Arts Center on Friday, October 20th at 7:30pm.  Karen captures Judy's heartbreaking vulnerability and spunk with the songs that Judy imprinted on the hearts of millions.  With almost 40 songs including The Boy Next Door, Swanee, Easter Parade, A Great Day for the Irish, I Love a Piano, The Trolley Song, But Not For Me, and Come Rain or Come Shine, Garland's story and music are seamlessly woven into this theatrical concert taking the audience through the exuberant highs and very difficult lows of Garland's personal life and career.

"Chasing Rainbows--Songs of Judy Garland is a show I have performed around the country for almost 15 years and also in the concert halls of Lincoln Center several years ago.  I have never tried to imitate Judy, only to sing with passion, love and joy the outstanding music of this outstanding performer", explains Luschar.

As a seasoned Broadway and international performer, Karen's multiple array of talents as singer, dancer, actress, choreographer have also been seen Off-Broadway, in national tours, Japan, Canada, Las Vegas, cruise ships, conferences and commercials.

"I was born and raised in Dallas but moved to NYC many years ago to pursue my Broadway dream.  I have been fortunate, but I am excited to be back in Dallas where I first discovered Judy in the Wizard of Oz.  It seems a bit like coming full circle."
