Gables Water Street Hosts FREE Family-Friendly Cinco de Mayo Event
April 23, 2019 (Las Colinas, TX) – Gables Water Street, a pedestrian-friendly mixed-use community with 60,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, green space and views of Lake Carolyn is hosting a family-friendly Cinco de Mayo celebration. The event is Saturday, May 4 from noon to 5 p.m. Gables Water Street is located at 5270 N. O’Connor Blvd in Las Colinas.
The family fun includes activities such as live performances from Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico, a face painter, photo opportunities, Mexican crafts and no Cinco de Mayo event is complete without breaking piñatas.
Gables Water Street offers an impressive variety of pubs, restaurants, neighborhood conveniences and 316 apartment homes on the shores of Lake Carolyn in Las Colinas, all within walking distance of the DART Rail System and Toyota Music Factory. In addition to Hugo’s Invitados, restaurants and unique eateries include Cork & Pig Tavern, The Ginger Man, Creamistry, Go Fish Poke, Big Little Market, El Famoso and Olivella’s. Many of the restaurants have Cinco de Mayo specials. Conveniences include Ciel Nail, GQ Tailor, Waxing the City, Flirty Girl Lash Studio, The Gents Place, We Yogis, and Homegrown Hounds. Dallas-based designer Mike Mousel also has a Homeworks studio at Gables Water Street, offering residential and commercial design services.
Gables Water Street is located at 5270 N. O’Connor Blvd, just east of State Highway 114 and it offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes available for rent; approximately 60 percent of which water views. Amenities at the pet-friendly community include a resort-style pool and deck, two fitness centers and a spin room, a lakeside community lounge, automated package lockers and a business center/WiFi lounge.
The family friendly event is part of Hugo’s Cinco Party in the Park, taking place Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5, in Gables Water Street’s sprawling park.
