Geocaching Kickoff April 3 National Scouting Museum

The 10th Annual Celebrating Irving:  The City and The Man will kick off the April activities on Monday, April 3, at 7pm at the National Scouting Museum, 1329 West Walnut Hill Lane.  A combination of discovering history with modern technology will be the focus with Geocaching.  Special sites have been selected due to their historical significance throughout the city for the hidden caches.  Attendees not familiar with Geocaching will be able to learn more at the April 3rd event from demonstrations provided by Boy Scout Troop 773.   The first 100 attendees to register at the event will be given swag bags.  All events are free and open to the public.

This treasure hunt with a GPS as well as other Celebrating Irving events is hosted by the Irving Heritage Society, Irving Public Library, Irving Arts Association, Irving Independent School District, Irving Black Arts Council, National Scouting Museum, Troop 773, and the City of Irving.    For more information, visit www.irvingheritage.com or call 972-252-3838.
