The New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving presents “Arabian Nights” at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, October 14 at the Irving Arts Center’s Carpenter Hall. The concert begins orchestra’s 31st anniversary “Sundays at the Symphony” series for 2018-19. To celebrate NPOI’s entry into its fourth decade, Dr. Sergio Espinosa, NPOI’s conductor and musical director, has chosen the same program for this concert that the orchestra played in 1988, NPOI’s inaugural year, which includes the overture to Die Meistersinger von Nürnbergby Richard Wagner,  Franz Schubert’s Symphony no. 5, and Scheherazadeby Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
